First of all, open terminal or command line and execute the following command into it to import repository’s GPG key in centOS 8:

sudo rpm --import 'http://pool.sks-keyservers.net/pks/lookup?op=get&search=0x3fa7e0328081bff6a14da29aa6a19b38d3d831ef'

Step 2 – Enable Mono Repository

Then execute the following command on command line or terminal to enable Mono repository in centOS 8:

dnf config-manager --add-repo https://download.mono-project.com/repo/centos8-stable.repo

Step 3 – Install Mono

Now, install mono in centOS 8 by executing the following command on command line:

sudo dnf install mono-complete 

Step 4 – Verify the installation

Finally test the installation, so execute the following command on command line to verify mono installation:

mono --version
